Question Internet/Computer Question

Every time I leave a website I have to "refresh" the page to update everything. For instance, when I reply to a thread here I cannot see my reply until I hit "refresh". Make sense? Anyone know why I have to keep doing this?

That is odd. When you select "Submit "Reply" or "Post Quick Reply" you should immediately see your post.

If you have another computer, or a friends, you might try it and see what happens.

I wonder if it's a setting on your computer?

I really think it's an internet setting. It doesn't just happen here. If I bounce back to a different website it does not automatically refresh the page. It's frustrating. I wish I knew what was doing it.

I may have it figured out. I think we just needed to install the latest version of Internet Explorer. It seems to be working a bit better now. I hope that's it.

Lissa he said to go to your internet toolbar and go to "tools" then to "internet options" then on the "general" tab there should be a button called "settings" under the "temporary internet files" topic. Then it should say "check for new versions of the stored page" and you should choose the option "automatically" and that if that doesn't work or if it is already selected then he isn't sure. But hopefully that helps?

It also possible that you have somekind of spyware installed. I don't know if you have any anti-spyware installed, if you don't you should consider installing the free version of "Ad-ware" from Lavasoft. They are the #1 for anti-spyware.

Since no one has said anything, download Firefox it works much better than IE.
