Default Girl fight in my home

My 3 daughters and every morning the world war starts. First they argue then they begin fighting. There ages are 14, 11 and 9. At times I feel like running away. My question is will it ever stop?

Heh, I'm at about the same stage but with one less.

I do tend to swoop in and do the evil Mommy act. Any argument that involves raised voices or physical stuff means I decide the outcome. Couldn't decide who gets the last muffin--easy, now it's me... or the dog.

So now they have lengthy, but very quiet, arguments. If the volume goes up I ask "does evil mommy need to help you with that disagreement?" and they find they have something they agree on....

When I grew up, I had 2 sisters, and we shared 1 bathroom. Yes, there was always lots of fighting!! But we are all very close right now. Now we know the meaning of the word, "sisters".

I think that would be a part of their stage. Becuase just like me and my younger sister, we keep on fighting and arguing when we're on that age. But now we are very much close to each other, we share everything we had.

It sounds like you need to evaluate what they are fighting about and remove the problem, by any means necessary.

Often, the shock of a n almost blinding resolution can create the desire for peaceful coexistence. If there are territorial issues, such as being on the worng side of a bedroom, then rotating turns on a couch outside of the room might be an option. It would certainly get their attention. If the fights are based on posessions, then anything that is not absolutely necessary can be removed to end the bickering. I am sure you can see the pattern here.

It will do no good to add your voice to the noise by trying to reason with them, so take steps to end the struggles by removing the objects they argue over and let them know that things can return to something more normal when they behave in a civil manner with each other, on a regular, consistent basis.

Step in and let them know through your actions, that you require a peaceful household.
