Bed time what's the "right" time?

Hey everyone just a quick question, I am wondering if I send my kids to bed too early supper usually at 5:00pm then in bath then story time and bed, lights out at 6:30,sometimes if I am exhausted I have even sent them to bed at 6opm. It is winter and It's dark here (Ontario) at around 5:45, summertime not dark till Nine , so bed time in the summer is like 7:30-8:00pm.Amanda is 4 yrs, Anthony is 20 months and my baby girl who is 6 months old and I'm BFing so she will stay up the latest but I put her down at 8:00.Now they wake up like farmers at 6:00 am attacking thier room )they share)and I'm regretting putting them down TOO early, so mabey I can catch a few more ZZZs in the morning, but I have also tried keeping them up till 8"00 and There upo ANYWAY at 6:00.any suggestions? That's really early to me. Mine were in bed at 8:00 at four years old. When they were 2 and younger it was 7 or 7:30. If they are going and they are sleeping I don't see a big deal. If they are cranky or having other problems then you need to find a different routine. If the little one's are taking a nap you may be making them sleep too much. But I really think it depends on the childs behavior.

I think it depends on the person and the children. Nichole goes to bed at 7. Gets up at 7. I like having down time after she goes to bed. If you are fine with them going to bed at 6 and getting up at 6 then go for it, otherwise change it. There is no wrong time

Oliver goes to bed at 7:00 and wakes at 7:00 the next morning.

Brian (8 mos) is put to bed at just about 7pm, give or take 5 minutes. He will sleep through most of the night and then anytime between 4 and 6 he'll begin to stir. If I time it just right, I just go in and pop his pacifier in and he'll go back to sleep for a bit but he is usually awake between 6 and 6:30am. While it is a little earlier than I and especially my wife like, it is acceptable to us because he still takes about 2 naps during the day.

Just like Kaytee and Lissa, we both enjoy the downtime at the end of the day. I know Sharon appreciates the nap times and I do too on the weekends.

Probably like many brand new parents, we originally had it in our heads that if we kept him up later he would sleep later. But we were killing ourselves in the process and torturing him by trying to keep him from falling asleep.

From what I've read, at some point the naps are going to become less frequent and that time will merge somewhat with their night-time sleep and you may get those extra zzz's back. Now that the Bster sleeps through the night, it really isn't the length of sleep I get that I appreciate, it's the consecutiveness (if that's a word).

its not weird. Nichole doesn't always sleep through the night now, and didn't at all till she was about 18 months old.
Bless those naps now, my daughter dropped her last nap a few months ago and just turned 2 a few weeks ago. So.... I miss my naps lol

my kids go down between 7:30 and 8...sometimes I let my daughter stay up and watch a movie on the weekend

My older kids are in bed between 8 and 9 - they don't always have to go to sleep at that time but I like them to be in their beds. I let them watch movies once in a while that go past the bedtime but not on school nights (yes even though they homeschool there is a difference between weekends and school nights.)

my son went to sleep at 8:00 pm and got up 5:00 am. I guess every child is different. As long as the child is not opposed to that, it would be fine.
