the ER last night
Oliver woke up at 1:50 this morning and was screaming until about 4:00. We took him to the ER and he let out this big fart and started playing and dancing. I was like "this better not be why we're here!" I think his stomach was bothering him because he was hunched over. The doctor said he has ANOTHER, yes, ANOTHER ear infection. Grrrr. I have a hard time believing that was what was causing him so much pain last night though. I've never seen him like that. It was scarey.

:-(
lol @ the fart issue though. ER's are expensive, even with insurance! I would pull out my hair if dropped $100 on an ER visit because he had gas. :-P
Ear infections hurt toddlers - bad. There's nothing they can do about it...it's like a toothache.

Re: the ER last night
I so sorry for poor Oliver. Of course I am with Fooser, that it is kinda funny that he farted.
I hope his ears feel better soon. Also have they given you any numbing drops for his ears. I know Nichole was given some when she had her ear infection. They just told me to use them when they hurt. No meds in it as far as making them heal, but they sure made them stop hurting.

Re: the ER last night
Poor kiddo! Both my kids have had ear infections in the past, and YES, they are very painful. I hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

The whole thing was so traumatic. I've never seen him like that. It was scarey. He's very bothered yet this morning. I don't know what to do.

Re: the ER last night
Check with your ped. first, but you can alternate Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hrs. for pain. Did they prescribe antibiotics?

I've been giving him motrin and tylenol. He's also on amoxicillin. I think its his stomach.

Re: the ER last night
It certainly doesn't help that I'm in the process of switching meds and my moods are a bit unstable at the moment.
