this kinda sucks
OK so in like 20 minutes I have to go sit in a room for an hour and a half and listen to someone tell me how to be a single parent...I find this funny since I left my ex over 3 yrs ago and have been raising my dd on my own since before that. In order to finalize the divorce though MI law says I have to attend this class. The worst part is he doesn't have to suffer through cause he's in prision...I kinda thought I should have been able to get out of but I figure I'll just go rather than make to big of a fuss...plus I really want the judge to grant the divorce on the 25th which is a bit earlier than the 6 months I was suppose to have to wait.

I hope your class went well. It doesn't seem or sound like you need it but one can always learn something even if it's re-learning.

actually it was a total waste of an hour and a half...lol All they did was lecture about making sure you pay or get recieve your child support, share responsibility, don't fight in front of the kids, and always show up for parenting times. I can see where this is helpful for some but in my case none of this applies because my ex is in prision. I really think it's unfair that I was forced to go to this class BUT in the end no harm was done

Welcome to my world. When I first heard of that class I thought they were insane. I'm sure I could show them a thing or two. Plus.......you know my attitude......I would be looking at them but no one would be home! lol

oh I haven't been a single mother for quite sometime...lol what's funny is the only time I was actually a single a mother is when I was living with my ex
