To Trina
Trina,
Have you ever had a problem with your cats not getting along?
My Aby and Bengal have been together for 2 years, and things have been fine. About a week and a half ago...the little Aby is just gotten crazy mean towards the bigger Bengal. It's getting really bad lately...fighting all the time, even blood! Ack.
I have no idea what the deal is, or what might be causing this. Have you experienced anything similar since you're another cat person?
Thanks!
Scott

Re: To Trina
Oh brother! If you could come up with one good one without the obvious P-word, I'd be impressed!

Re: To Trina
my girls have been together for about 4 yrs and every so often they get into it about onething or the next...it usually goes on for a day or 2 and then they are back to normal. My smaller cat (cuervo) goes after the bigger one (tau) and backs her into a wall scraeming at her...there is usually hair falling and a lot of kitty smacking going on. I break up and they go off to their seprate corners and stare at eachother hatefully for a couple days

Re: To Trina
I read some good info on the net about possible solutions. I think we might be neglecting her, so she's acting out?
My girls have been at it for over a week now, and it is just getting rediculous.
Last night, my wife was sleeping in the spare room, and they knocked over my mountain bike right on my wife's face while she was sleeping. lol...go kitty go!!!

Re: To Trina
haha...actually you may be on to something...My cats go at it because they share a litter box and the big one doesn't like to let the little one use it very often...they also share a food dish and fight over who goes first, The funny part is I've tried giving them each there own dish and litter box and they won't use them

Re: To Trina
Hah.
Last night, I picked up the little one by her scruff, and poured a whole cup of water on her head. Still didn't work though. :-(

Re: To Trina
Our current cats get along quite well and always have, but we had a mother/daughter pair that used to fight often. Our vet. said they were probably fighting for top cat position. Mama cat usually won because she was one feisty, mean puss, but her daughter (Stripey) still challenged her every so often. Unfortunately, it didn't end until we had to put Mama cat down. She became increasingly aggressive, and started attacking our other cats and DH and I, totally unprovoked. DS was just starting to toddle at that point and we simply couldn't chance her attacking him. We tried finding her a new home, but no one wanted an aggressive cat. When she was gone Stripey immediately became top cat and the other cats never questioned it. No more cats fights since. Total feline harmony.
Sorry, that doesn't help you any. LOL!
