Other parenting forums
I was just curious if anyone else was a member of another forum?
I'm also a member of kellymom.com a breastfeeding, attachment parenting forum. I like that it has a lot of good information about breastfeeding. But I like reading this one more. I'm not an attachment style kind of parent (I'm in the military so it's almost impossible) so I sometimes feel ganged up on over there.

Re: Other parenting forums
There are a few of those here too. Don't worry though. The strong views and opinions make ya think so I like it here. (some make ya think..good, some make ya think people are nuts!) hahaha
I go to myspace alot but no other parenting board. I love the dysfunction of this one....mwah mwah mwah. Speaking of...........where's Fooser and Lissa today?

Re: Other parenting forums
I also love myspace lol. I like forums that make me laugh. KM is good for that too sometimes too though. I respect everyone's choice for parenting as long as their not abusing their child in any way. I just don't want to be told that my way of doing it is "wrong".

Re: Other parenting forums
lol. There are parents who do really strange things and think they are right. Sad part is the kids will pay for it in the long run when they try and fit in with regular society.
I'm perfectly confident in the way I parent. I hear opinions and make my own choices. All my family and friends tell me I am a wonderful mother That's always good on the ears.
I love my babies.

Re: Other parenting forums
I'm a member of a parenting forum at myspace, but have never posted, nor really read it over too much. Honestly, I just remembered about it!
I used to go to babynamesworld.com years ago, but never cared for it too much.

Re: Other parenting forums
When I was pregnant I belonged to a multiples due date club on BabyCenter, but after my twins were born I was too busy and exhausted to stay with it. It's too bad because the women were very cool.
I sometimes read Mothering. It has a huge membership, so there's a ton of new posts to read and a diverse group of posters. Also, it is very professionally run. But I'm not that crunchy and find the discussion of some topics too narrow as non-crunchy viewpoints are deleted. Some parts of it do have a fun freak factor, however (my husband refers to it as the "Crazy Mothers Board" - but only some of the posters are completely nuts).

Re: Other parenting forums
I am a member of two other sites besides this one.
and ANKS mom, attachment parenting is not something you do but a philosophy. You can be in the military and be an AP mom. My good friend is a Marine (single mother, baby daddy no where in sight!!) and is an AP mom. SHe co sleeps, wears her babies sometimes (other times is in a stroller), she breastfed for 13 months, (pumped at work at then suplemented a bottle a day after the baby turned 10 months old). She co-sleeps with her daughter some nights, other nights the babies in her crib! She is an AP mom.
