Default Summer Activities

What are some of the summer activities planned for your Adolescent this summer? These months can be stressful with this age group because many are no told enough to hold jobs but are old enough to get into trouble several miles from home!

Default Re: Summer Activities

18 y.o - work and she's planning days out with friends and her gf
17 y.o - work and again days out
15 y.o - wants to look into an apprenicship possibly but he's undecided so he might be at home all summer, which I wouldn't mind he's great with babies.
12 y.o - Around the house or off playing with friends for most of the summer. There's one, possibly two weeks of activites provided by a local school. But we don't know if he's got a place in the second week yet. And I swear I've heard the words tree house and fort so, possibly a project that'll keep them all entertained for a few days; hopefully weeks.

well mines not anywhere near this age group, but this summer Nichole will be taking swim lessons and starting and teh activities center for aour city. Its not a bad deal either, she is free and It's 15 for me for a year. They have classes 2 days a week for 3 hours each and have things like the jumping house and balancing beams, that kinda stuff!!

My kids are younger also but my preteen is doing her last year of summer camps. She's added theatre camps this summer so I think we'll have a dramatic summer And the little one is learning how to ride without training wheels and taking swim lessons.

Default Re: Summer Activities

18 y.o. - working at a local store, also working at our church camp - and hanging with friends and bf. - also does singing at the sunday evening church service - we are in good shape with her.
13 y.o. - working at the same camp - its only 4 weeks long, one week has gone by. Otherwise spending time at friends house going on myspace.

8 y.o. - going to a different church camp than the one mentioned above. Spending time with neighborhood kids.

I plan to take the two younger ones to the beach once in a while, even if it is with their friends, trying to get more time with them - Dad time that is. I also one to try to get one-on-one with my 13 yo son - movies and golf - yeah, really stretching my luck.
