Hey all Abbi brought this to my attention that there has been a recall for Thomas the train toys. Heres a link if you have any

Thomas the tank engine
big recall due to a lead poisoning hazard. Here's the link http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07212.html

Thanks Abbi

Yikes. How does lead get anywhere near the manufacturing process of kid's toys???

Thanks for bringing that site to my attention too - looks like some good pages to monitor:

I hate to say this, but there have been a number of recalls lately - all stemming from products from China. There was some kind of additive in the toothpaste that can be bought at most dollar stores. It was told it caused the deaths of over 100 people in Panama or Costa Rica. I've almost decided I'm not buying things from China anymore.

My sister just got a puppy this week and she called me about what to feed the puppy. I was a registered Veterinarian technician, so I told her a list of good foods she good buy, and she decided on Iams because it was the only one that was not made in China.

Yeah I have been hearing about the China thing ... the manufacturing rules aren't as stringent and/or things are counterfitted. Always something new to watch out for...
