I'm not sure yet. My mother just called me and was going to buy it for my son. It says it will teach him how to play the quitar from the cd's. I've never heard of it.

Courses like that are good, I have several students that use courses that come with CDs and DVDs, they work well in tandem with a private teacher and/or are very helpful for non-musical parents to know if they're "doin' it right".
I looked up the course on the web and it looks pretty good, with your musical knowledge, you should be able to work well with him, and maybe brush up your own guitar chops. I thinks it's a wonderful gift., tell him I said "rock on, buddy!" |

lol, I'll tell him. I'm by no means a guitar player so I wouldn't have a clue, plus I have nails and could never hold down the strings properly.

He just has a regular little kids guitar, my friend is giving him an another acoustic but not sure what brand. I am thinking about going with the Esteban gear
