Default Potty Training Advice

I have a 3 yr old girl and she is still having accidents that could of easily been avoided. She doesnt like to use restrooms that are public. She is afraid I guess. Do you have any suggestions that would help with this problem.

hmm.. I lucked out that Nichole was never afraid of public toilets. The only thing I can suggest there, is showing her how you can go and also they make the folding potty seats. Thats what we use anyways, Nichole is so tiny that I don't want her touching a public seat so we use it.

they make these toilet seats for kids that fold up and are light to carry, I think ours has Elmo on it...lol. They are easy to find a Babie's R Us. Maybe having her own seat would make her feel better about the public toilet. How does she do at home?

hmmm, never thought of the fold up thing. We just put her little potty in the van with a jug of water. Whenever my almost 3 yr. old has to go, we go to the van let her go and then use the water to wash it out. It works out great, where ever we go we have a potty.

that woul dbe nice if your child likes potty chairs. lol Nichole potty trained herself from day one on the toilet so she would NEVER go on a potty chair. She tells her friend (who is the same age and does use a potty chair) "no , you go in the potty not in the bucket" lol

I originally wanted to start with a ring for NIchole. But then when she wanted to potty train, I bought it and a stool and tried it out! Well it was not working, she couldn't sit on the ring unless her legs were straight out, no bending!! lol it was funny but didn't work. So I went and bought the potty chair. Showed it to her a few times. I think I sat her on it maybe 5 or 6 times while we were getting out of the bath or whatever, but then when the day came that she wanted to train, she went for the toilet, and well... I was not going to stop her lol
