We bake cookies for Santa... with lots of extra goodies.
We go to the train show at the NY Botanical Gardens.
We go to see the tree in Rockerfeller Center (I see that thing everyday, doesn't amaze me, but my kids love it).
We use to go the night lights show at the Bronx Zoo, but they aren't doing it this year - a green initiative.
We watch Polar Express - like a billion times.

The adults watch Christmas Vacation.
Big party Christmas Eve.
Fuzzy Navals with Christmas Day breakfast. (hair of the dog - hahaha)
And the gift game...take a new one or take someone else's....it always gets crazy.

For as long as I can remember the guys in my family have all gone to a local theater and watch "A Christmas Story" that shows it religiously every Christmas eve. It isn't that my mom and sister aren't invited they just don't like the movie

Re: What are some of your Christmas or Holiday Traditions?
The one I really loved is when my kids were little I used to dress like Santa, then I would snick into the house to put the presents in the Xmast Tree. My wife would wake the kids up and they would hide, so "Santa" wouldn't know they were watching him. I could hear their laught and whispers.
They would get all exited and would tell all their friends that they saw Santa the night before.
Then they grew up and the magic was gone...

Re: What are some of your Christmas or Holiday Traditions?
Our traditions change depending on which family we're with for the season. Regardless of which side of the family we're with, we watch all the classic christmas cartoons leading up to christmas, we go to a christmas light parade, decorate the tree, and put up homemade decorations.
If we're with his paternal family, we go to a few craft bazaars, and childrens christmas parties at the convention center in the weeks before christmas. On Christmas day we wake up and he gets his stocking to dig into. Instead of a christmas dinner they have a brunch. Afterwards we open our presents and we're pretty much done.
If we're with my family, we open one present on christmas eve, and usually have a light supper with those of my moms family who won't be able to come over on Christmas day. On Christmas morning we get up, and all of us dig into our stockings (my mom still buys us grown up kids one every year, to my delight :P)then have a breakfast that started when I was young. Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, orange frosted cinnamon rolls, hot chocolate or coffee.
We open up the presents we bought for each other, then start cooking christmas dinner. At around noon the extended family comes over and we devour the christmas dinner, then open more presents! After everyone has opened up the gifts, we do a gift exchange, where everyone brings one generic gift of $5 or less and put them in a big pile in the middle of the floor and draw numbers. Then each person picks either a gift from the floor or can steal a gift that someone else has already picked. It's a lot of fun.

Re: What are some of your Christmas or Holiday Traditions?
Well...this is starting to turn into a tradition, my brother just called and said he'll be here Friday for the weekend...(every second year we stay home, next year we'll head to Toronto) He's just bringing his daughter this time, and I can picture it now...his truck will be jam packed with gifts (he likes to splurge)...and whatever room is left will be stocked with beer.
Lucky me...I have "Cousin Eddie" for a brother....

Tried to add "visit santa" to the list... then saw the two hour line at Macy's - no thank you
Need to find another Santa.
