Default Body Wash for Sensitive Skin

I put this in general chat cause it's about me, not any kids (though I am my mom's kid lol so confusing). I have really sensitive skin, and I'm allergic to like everything. I've gone through so many shampoos and body washes because of rashes and allergic reactions. I just got the most amazing smelling body wash for christmas called "Romantic Wish" by victoria's secret and I was so excited. But I used it for a couple of days and as we speak I am COVERED in hives!!!! I'm so sick of this! I don't know what to use.

I know for Eli (who has even more sensitive skin than I do) I use the Aveeno baby wash, but there is soooo much more variety for adults out there, so I want to know if you guys know what body wash is best for really sensitive, allergy prone skin. Also, it has to be moisturizing because I also have problems with my skin drying out really easily. Ugh my skin is so worthless. So what's the best you guys would reccommend? Anything particularly awesome for this in your opinion? Oh and something else, I'd like to be able to buy it at the store. I don't want to have to special order it or anything lol. Thanks guys!!!

What about something like Dove or Caress that are supposed to be natural?

personally I love the Aveeno products for adults as well. My ex had horrible skin like you're discribing and they worked wonders for him and I tend to dry out easily but with Aveeno I don't have that problem

Cetaphil---my wife has really sensitive skin as well. Make sure that your detergent doesn't have any perfumes in it either that can sometimes irritate the problem. Vic uses Cetaphil soap and lotion. She also wears gloves when doing the dishes. It makes a big difference in her life. It's a little expensive but worth it. She usually buys it at Sams Club or some place like that to get a better deal. Stay away from anythin gthat has perfumes in it.

Well I took Benadryl and it cleared up, I'm used to it. I just have to force myself not to scratch them and stay cool. Being too warm makes more of them for some reason. I've always had very bad allergy problems, including asthma and hives and such along with all the regular symptoms. A lot of shampoo's will turn my face into a big rash. It's weird, and annoying. Anyway I'm good so thanks Aponder!

Everybody else - thank you! I was thinking about trying Aveeno, cause I was pretty sure they made stuff like that I just haven't had the chance to look at it yet. I thought of Dove but I wasn't sure if it was moisturizing, and I couldn't remember if it was good for someone who needs hypoallergenic stuff. I'll definitely be looking when I go to the store today, probably one of the two. I've never heard of Cetaphil but I'm going to look for that at the store too, and compare them all.

I kind of figured since Aveeno works so well on Eli that it should probably work out for me too. Thank you so much for all the suggestions!!

Sensitive skin here, too. I don't use body washes, period. I've yet to find one that doesn't irritate me. I use Dove or Ivory soap for sensitive skin and sparingly.

Like a bar of soap?

I've tried that and it dries me out like crazy...

Hmmm, our dermatologist recommended Dove Sensitive skin soap... which surprised me because I thought it would dry their skin, but it's working out great for the boys.

I was comparing that exact stuff (Dove sensitive skin body wash) to the Aveeno Moisturizing body wash and since I trust it for my baby and it said moisturizing on it and it was the only one labeled "reccommended by dermatologists for -however many- years" I chose the Aveeno. With the Dove, it was either sensitive skin or moisturizing and I wanted both lol and Aveeno was so clear about it. I almost picked the Dove though, it looked like really good stuff.

The Cetaphil looked creepy... lol I don't know why, I'm weird. Also, I couldn't believe I've never heard of it or seen it before but when I went to the store after Phil named it, there was like a whole section of just Cetaphil stuff. I was like... did I really miss that every time I went to the store??? xD lmao
