ok well I got a reply from mustard Pancakes. I have yet to e-mail PBS, but will probably tomorrow. Here is what they said.

I have spent a few days investigating. I think that the parent that
you
emailed us about is an overzealous fan. We acknowledge your concern,
but
frankly don't know how to ask this parent to refrain from these
activities
without being offensive.

It means a lot to everyone at Mustard Pancakes that you would care
enough to
monitor these kinds of exchanges and making us aware that this was
happening.

Over zealous fan....?

Well, they did take the time to reply, that is actually well above average

I don't think "Mustard Pancakes" officially would ever authorize spamming of this kind, however they might hire an outside firm to increase hits to their website and not be aware as to what methods the firm is using to increase hits. Reminds me of the HP debacle, where the board of directors hired a firm to find out who was leaking company info to the press, and the firm used illegal methods to find out who was the leak. HP got in very hot water for it too; can't claim ignorance for people\firms hired to work on your behalf.

well at least they replied. I'm with jtee on questioning the over zealous fan thing though, I think they might be full of it

ok so PBS wrote back but they have no control over it either. its not a PBS show its just an affiliant. However they claim its a fan as well... weird
