Anybody have experience with Ice Cream Balls? I woul dpost a link, but I don't want to endorse or advertise, so just google "Ice Cream Ball" and you'll see what I'm talking about....

I hadn't heard of them before. Anybody have experience using them, are they as cool as they look? any down sides?

hmmm...I had never heard of these but I bet the kids would love them. We have a soft serve ice cream maker and we love it.

Oh and IADad, you can post links to whatever you'd like...lol. I'm not concerned at all that you might be a spammer ;-)

hehehe.....the trap is set...my evil plot to spam the world and thereby acheive total home ice cream domination is within my grasp!!!!! muwhaahaahaaa.....

Play and Freeze Ice Cream Maker | Have an Ice Cream Ball Party with Homemade Ice Cream Recipes | Play&Freeze Gourmet Ice Cream Desert Maker

a co-worker turned me on to it, he said the only problme he's had is that after you make the ice cream and you put the whole thing back in the freezer to harden (okay, so you have to have enough room in a freezer to put the whole thing in....) then it freezes so hard itt can be difficult getting the ice cream all scraped from the sides. (I think my boys are up to the challenge)

The small size seems a little more practical... the quart would be awfully heavy (in my estimation)

One of the things I liked was that as you hard freeze your new ice cream you are also re-freezing your ice/brine, so you can use it multiple times....I walways hate trying to get rid of the brine and cleanup after ice cream making....
