Re: Bebe Gloton: yay or nay?
No way in hell I would get this for my daughter. Breastfeeding is for grown women who have children, not children themselves.

Re: Bebe Gloton: yay or nay?
Charlie used to pretend breast feed all her dolls, so she didn't one with a special top. I don't understand why there is out cry over this when no one cares about babies that come with bottles.

Re: Bebe Gloton: yay or nay?
personally to me this doll looks like a cyborg and makes annoying robotic sounds, as shown in videoclip. if i had a girl, i'd try to find a more pleasant doll.

Re: Bebe Gloton: yay or nay?
I saw this on another parenting site. Although I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with a child mimicking breastfeeding, this doll with the halter top and flower/nipples is too weird. Both my kids (DS and DD) pretended to nurse their dolls/stuffed animals simply because that it was they saw mothers around them doing with their babies. Completely natural and nothing sexual about it, but a doll like this isn't necessary.

Very well put...I think the annoying factor to the doll is the biggest case against it.

I don't think so. A child helping their mother bottle feed another child is a normal behavior. That same child isn't going to help their mother breastfeed another child. I think this is really crossing a line into an area that needs to be kept with the parents and not used as a mimicking tool for pre-pubescent girls. This is sending a bad message to our youth.
Maybe I'm pushing it a bit here, but really, what's next? A doll that you can enact procreation with? Where does the line get drawn?

Re: Bebe Gloton: yay or nay?
when little girls play, they don't play helping their mother, they play being a mother.
