Default marijuana (yes another pot thread) and Autism

We have been getting calls this evening about the today show.

Apparently they had a mother with a young son who have been using this. A quick google show's a lot of info.

Example Medical Marijuana: A Valuable Treatment for Autism?.

Any thoughts ?? or personal (pot/autism) first hand knowledge??

Mom: Marijuana Saved My Autistic Son's Life (VIDEO)

Does it work for ADD/ADHD? Because I think I know someone that would have been a good idea for...

Actually my husband frequently jokes with my that's all my brother (s) really need to come out of their shells a little! (only one is ADD/ADHD).

I'd be very curious as to how a doctor initially decided to prescribe the pot!

I'm all for something that makes the lives of autistic children easier.

ya know i'm against illegal drugs and if they're illegal they should stay illegal and all that.
ok, then. so...
i figure it couldn't hurt nothing if all the side affects of the pot vs the Rx have been considered. i mean gettin' the munchies and feeling wild-n-free from pot are heaven compared to things like damage to your heart, greater risk of developing diabetes, and so on from some Rx's

also if it was us (dh-n-me), he'd be sayin' "shut up woman. we're gonna try it and see if it works." his thinking being a little more ?free-er? on some things .

nes' link is from the early show. this link is supposed to be from gma
so 2 videos wont hurt nothing. i've found that the interviewers sometimes miss things.

plus i was trying to test posting link out cause i aint been able to make them work right lately.

sorry if its all jumbled....its ealry and still getting the coffee..
see: ya'll gotta point these things out to me. had never even considererd what the some things might do for helping some health issues. cause my mind just goes to the "illegal" part of it and stays focused there on that.... i just might see the other side and be able to rethink my opinion on things startin to rethink alot of other opinions too.

had a brainfart---maybe some of the legal Rx should be made illegal due to all the adverse side affects they have and those things seem to cause more problems than actually help. just a thought. not trying to be a smartazz...

What intrigues me most. Is you get your results right away. Eat a cookie. is she better or not. So many of the things we are currently trying we end up (cant think of the proper word) guessing was it the medicine or the natural progression of thing that modified her behavior??

But alas it is illegal in IA. Going to prison would not help things.

If anyone runs across a actual study let me know. All I am currently finding is testimonials. I would like to see some numbers

one thought - since medical marijuana either is or was recently up for reveiw by the Iowa board orf medicine guys...whatever that thing's called...you might want to get your two cents in about this application.
