Default good gifts

In the intrest of the holidays I was thinking (yea I know it gets me in trouble) that we should have a "good gift" / "Bad gift" threads. To help others avoid the mistakes and share some ideas for our kids.

Last year I got DS a cardboard box (refrigerator) from Sears. They said I could just grab one, pick it up from behind the store.

DS loved it. He made a rocket ship fort on the porch and put windows ect. He told me this year it was one of his favorite gifts. And it didnt cost a nickle.

My favorite gift of my adult life is this board that is shaped like a slice of bread. I put my laptop on it when sitting in my chair. In fact I am using it now. I use it every day. I can't say that for anything else that I have ever received.

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE GIFT EVER..
I was 14, into poetry, and My Dad wrote a poem about me for me. I lost it in a fire, but until then, carried it with me in my purse for over 10 years
