I'm confused about this. You don't have a friend or teacher who could help him in real life?

The sentence when corrected should look like this:

My elder sister got the flu last weekend.

Many of my friends from away. love to use the CC feature on TV. It helps with a lot of language issues. You can just leave it on and he can pick it up in his own time. I'm guessin since he lives in Shanghai there's no rush to learn.

Thank you very much first.

He has English class in school twice a week, and native English teacher class once a week.

But that's not enough, most students learn extra English course outside of the school. He is learning one too.

But he is interested in write down something in his real life. And he always gets some problem. But he can't bring all of them to teacher as teachers are very busy too.

In Shanghai, education competition is very fierce, if students don't learn extra course, mostly they can't get in a first class middle shcool.

Thank you very much.

This is a good idea.

In Shanghai, compared with large quantity students, good education sourse is very limited.Due to the fierce competition, many kids even have personal native English tutor.

So although we are living in Shanghai, it's very important to learn English earlier.

Actually I think he should spend more time on reading. Because kids only can write after lot's of reading.

But he stick on writing a little everyday, i think that's not a bad idea either.

Your correct about the reading.

The key is finding something they enjoy. DS's book that got the ball rolling was "Captain Underpants" series. He really began reading alot ofter that.

This one is a little different because I believe in British common useage "I cought cold" would be correct, in American english common useage it would more correctly be " I caught a cold last night."

If you're going to use "and" it should probably be all one sentence. (I know there are cases when starting a sentence with "and" is acceptable, but I just don't like it stylistically.)

So it should either be:

"I caught a cold last night and now I am coughing."

Or

"I caught a cold last night. Now I am coughing." (or "I am coughing now." is fine too)
