Exclamation huh!!!????

how in the world?????????
does anyone know of game?
is it as bad as it sounds?
a few other questions that come to mind...
why or how would a game like this even exist?
how is it appropriate for anyone especially kids/teens?
why would a kid have a pay pal? i get it, but i don't get it.

Web Game Creator: Buying Condoms, Adopting Orphans is 'Stylish' Fun - ParentDish

the kerfuffle over the Web site is the work of "rogue journalists" who don't have their facts straight.
from the sounds of things the "kefuffle" is Not just about "rogue journalists" not having their facts straight.
can't register if you are under the age of 11. the site is closely monitored.
my butt!!! any kid who knows how to surf the 'net can get around this if they really want to play the game. kids aren't stupid! some can do it even with parental controls in place.
I can't see how an 11-year-old would have any interest in it."
how could it not be? emmy is only 8. she loves dress up games. i'm getting the impression that this looks like a normal dress up game from the description. with all that other stuff in there it evidently it isn't one.
What will the final version include?
i'm afraid to find out.

please help me to understand this mess. i just aint gettin' it.

It appears to be a satirical look at celebrity excess and irresponsibility. I think It would be hypocritical of me since I play "mafia wars" "mobsters" and "mobsters 2" to say this is a terrible thing. Sure a sharp teen can get around the controls but that can be said for porn or torture sites also.

I think that the site paints a picture of how ignorant our idols can be. And its more a insult to them than a training aid to teens.

Freedom of speach is one of the things we fight for. Its one of the things that needs protected. Its a slippery slope when we start to ban things we find objectionable. Like book burning.

IMHO Its our responsibility to teach our children right from wrong. To give the tools to make informed decision concerning their lives. Then allow them to exercise those skills while we are still available to help. A safety net if you will.

If DS were to be at this site. I would see it, because I monitor where he goes. I would explain that he is not allowed to go there because he is to young to understand the message. Then I would welcome the chance to explain my spin of the message. That the message is how ridiculous it is to allow our vanity to surpass our good judgment when it come to actions effecting other lives. How not only do they appear like idiots. They do so in a way that will adversely effect someone else and that is wrong. Its something called Social Responsibility.

plenty of games on facebook aren't very educational for kids to play.
i'd say don't take unserious things seriously.

i think it is easy to monitor what small children do online. there parental controls and stuff.
as for teens, they really can get hands on way worse stuff. i don't see why such a big deal about one single stupid online game. there are plenty of that kind.

yes, it is easy to monitor small children. yes, older kids can be monitored too.
i've checked out this thing myself. yeah, there are worse things out there. but there was no reason for someone to add to it. it helps to feed into many things that are already wrong. the themes in that game are adult and not even teen themed.

Agreed! They coulda left out the condoms and boob size/boob job junk. No kid needs to worry about that crap. As for the adoption thing, its cool, but saying that they like to dine on rats and stuff??!?!?!?! thats just freakin rude!
