Your idea is great because you are giving little bits of money at a time. So he is learning to save while he is getting motivated to do work. I use that idea with my son Dylan when it comes to doing his chores.

I think what you are doing is great. I mean, what new parent doesn't wish that their new bundle of joy came with an instruction book!! Altough this doesn't sound like a Parenting for Dummies book, I think it would be very valuable to parents.
