Feeding is now going great (see my prior message(, And since our beautiful baby is now sleeping 6-8 hours - so great. We now wake up before the baby! Miracles. And we're really having fun as family and bonding as we squeal each time a new food is introduced an the baby is so excited too. We don't worry about using forks and spoons as the point we learned in the littlechompions guides/kits was not to "push" utensils. Exploring with finger provides great tactile feedback and smells (of squashed food) encourages exploration. Our baby is told that anything they don't want to each - to just put on the back of their plate (instead of crying or throwing it(, and amazingly that works. I love the guides/kits on littlechompion.com *with two Os). Informative, fun, easy, and the babies learn so much as they explore the foods and realize that no one is going to force them to eat anything! If you try it, let me know what you think. I also bought a consultative session with the pediatric speech pathologist as it was the icing on the cake - her zoom with me make me feel so confident in what I was doing. I don't often feel too confident in many thins as a new mom - but feeding is now by "expertise" (and btw, the feeding have imapcted my baby's sleeping habits. So now I have time to clean the kitchen and do the laundry daily in the evenings. Hurah!
