I started with small pieces of bananas, very tender steamed broccoli, scrambled eggs, and jars of baby food. Hope that helps!

Hey. I spoke to my pediatrician this afternoon. She highly recommended I get the kits/guides from littlechompions.com (two Os; no As) as it was both educational (learning how to differentiate between choking and gagging), had great tips for types/sizes of foods to introduce 3-6, 6-9 and 9-12 mos. And also great items in the kits to make feeding more fun and easier. I am ordering the 6-9 and 9-12 month kits tonight!!!

The most trustworthy site for baby related feeding (covers from 3-12 months, with age specific kits and guides - all developed by a pediatric speech pathologist specializing in feeding techniques). Site is called littlechompions.com. All the pediatricians in DC/MD/VA areas are strongly recommending this online store/product line as the best for transitioning your baby to software and then solid foods, with introducing them to various textures, tastes and species; fun food tips but fun/simple approaches. Guides teach you the difference between gagging and chokings, makes you confident in handling a variety of situations, and makes meals (especially dinner) a family affair where we all laugh, bond and taste each other's food. Note that I sent many emails for clarifications and all were responded to quickly. I was so impressed, (as was my mom) that she bought me a one on one consultant- where the therapist watched as I fed, provided feedback, more tips, and was so UPBEAT. I have a friend in DC (who lives near this therapist), she said that her reputation is top as she is truly an expert in baby feeding kits/techniques and is so much LittleChompions.comfun and so relatable that everyone loves her.
