My view is very simple. Swearing is rude. Its OK within certain context or company, but not in public, not at school, not at home. Its nothing 'grown up' or 'cool' about it. And its not neccessery what you hear from other people

There are time and place to play freely. After my 3yo took off at an airport, i find harness a useful thing. Those techy things via smartphones... Pfff imagine battery dies, gets broken, child falls over and smashes the thing...

Alternative schooling is good, if there is continuity. If a child goes to a 'cool' primary, then has to transfer to a mainstream secondary -- it can be very difficult.
Europe and America have different rules for food preservation and packaging. I work in catering related business and food hygiene rules are very strict. You can't even keep out-of-date items in fridges and freezers, and it is illegal to give it away, despite products being totally edible. Waste...
