I need more potty training advice/support...

Thank you for the Elmo clip. He loved it! We tried the cool when wet pull ups, but he didn't even notice the cool (or if he did, he liked it). He had 4 pee accidents yesterday. He sat on the potty for 30 minutes (reading books) right before his bath (and after dinner). Nothing happened...

I need more potty training advice/support...

Ok, so I've aggressively started potty training my 3-year old. He's been wearing his "big boy undies" all day. He's had 3 pee-pee accidents already. Each time, he tells me. This last time, he looked down at his pants and said "uh-oh" either right before it happened or right as it was...

    Teething?...

Xero you are wise (WAY) beyond your years. I always mean to write that, but never get the chance. You should be a counselor. Sorry, a little off topic, lol.

    Teething?...

I feel stupid asking (because she's my 2nd), but if it were an ear infection, wouldn't she keep screaming? Feeding her usually calms her down; then she's ok.

    Teething?...

I give her those, but she is still fussy (and baby tylenol too). That's why I'm a little confused as to if it's teething or if she's just always hungry. If only I spoke baby!!!

    Teething?...

So my 3-month old daughter has been so difficult the past few weeks. She's wants to be held constantly and when I put her down, she screams. She's been eating a lot lately too. At different times of the day she's so upset, she acts tired and hungry (she's chomps aggressively on her pacifer...

    More potty training issues...

Thank you for all of the replies. They were exactly what I was looking for. I will be patient and let him go on his own terms. Thanks again!

    More potty training issues...

I realize that this topic has been beat to death . . . . I just want to see if anyone else has dealt with my son's situation. Brayden will be 3 next month and from day 1 he's done everything early (walk, talk, even had all of his teeth before he was 1). He's so smart and nothing ever gets past...

    I'm freaked out...help me...

<r><QUOTE author="Xero;74613"><s> </e></QUOTE> I'm not sure if you read this already, but I think it gives a pretty good explanation.<br/> <CENTER><s>
</s><B><s></s>Night terrors are caused by over-arousal of the...

    I'm freaked out...help me...

My son has been doing the same thing since he was about a year old. From all of my googling, I've come to the conclusion that it's night terrors. It usually happens about an hour or two after the goes to sleep and occurs a few times a month. He will be crying uncontrollable. His eyes are...

    Babies and Travelling....

We drove from Brooklyn, NY to Orlando, FL when Brayden was 14 months old. We tried to drive the majority of the trip @ night. He'd sleep the whole time. There were a few rough patches, but all-in-all, it wasn't horrific. We had a portable dvd player and lots of books. It's do-able, but I...

How to deal with toddlers when unreasonable...

This is a great idea. I will definitely use this technique the next time we are at the park or other "fun" places.

How to deal with toddlers when unreasonable...

My son will be 3 in January. It seems like things have just gotten worse over the past few months. I'm trying not to be too hard on him because we just had another baby and I suspect that maybe he's acting out more because of the big change. Unfortunately, knowing this doesn't make dealing...

    Newborn sleep question...

She's only a week old . . . I realize that it's still WAY early to try anything; however, I thought if I was able to get some advice now, I'd be more prepared when the time was right. :)

    Newborn sleep question...

So, we just welcomed our 2nd child. Her name is Leighton Ever and she is wonderful. She sleeps 20 hours a day and when she is awake, she is such a joy. This is a total 180 from how our son was. He was difficult from day #1. Since she is so different it's almost like she's our first because...

    No more daycare!...

Hourly is great! Then you can take them on your terms. I wish I had hourly daycare. That would be a lifesaver. Being a stay-home-mom is NOT for me . . . . I would just rather work. Luckily I am starting school in the Spring (and thanks to the new GI Bill I can afford someone to watch them).

    No more daycare!...

I separated from the Air Force in March and have been staying home, with my son, ever since. I feel the same way that you do. I feel guilty that he doesn't have anyone to play with. He's always asking me to play with him or watch a movie. I try to accommodate his needs as much as I can, but...

    Induction...

I'm sure I'll raise a few eyebrows with my reason for induction since it is elective. My husband and I just moved to a new area. We don't know ANYONE. We live on a busy street with no neighbors and no "support." Our closest relatives are 4 hours away and my husband works 45 minutes away. If...

    Induction...

So, I am being induced in about 16 days. I know there has already been some discussion on induction and was hoping to get some "real life experiences" from other women who have gone through the process. This is my 2nd pregnancy; however, it will be my first induction. I'm just curious about...

    No More Naps...

This is my problem too. He'll wake up between 7-7:30 and by the evening (maybe 6ish) he'll become a whole other person. He'll flip out at the drop of a hat and have these tantrums that look like we're preforming an exorcism. Sometimes it will take both my husband and I to put on his pjs. He...
