Trying to do my daughters hair...

I have tried putting those metal clips in her hair and they just fall right out. Also her hair is really long and I have suggested the idea of cutting it only a little to make it more manageable but she likes it long. I am not going to force her to cut it but I wish that she would come around...

Trying to do my daughters hair...

My 5 year old daughter has thin, long hair. I try my best but her hair is all over the place. I know nothing about long hair. She doesn't like to wear things I her hair, plus most hair things fall out. Any advice for taking care of long stringy hair would be greatly appreciated. --Bob

I used to get them every winter until about age 12 then to my recollection never again. Got her some antibiotics. She'll be feeling better soon.

    Daughter has an ear ache....

My daughter woke up this morning saying that her head hurt and she was holding her ear. The pain doesn't seem too intense so I am waiting for her pediatrician to come in to the office. I got a lot of ear infections as a kid and then thy just stopped. I hope she doesn't start that too.

    Hello everyone!!...

Find things that they are interested in and read that. My son likes super heros. We found some Batman comic books written for young children. Take them places to learn where they can get hands on like science centers and museums and monuments.

    The Picture of Dorian Gray...

Just started reading The Picture of Dorian Gray today. Not too far in yet but interesting so far. I wanted to read this book since I saw The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Anyway I would be glad to hear your opinions if you have read it.

Trends of Spending Habits of Youths...

My opinion is that there is more to be materialistic about. When there was not a lot of stuff your status among peers was based more on who you were and now more so on what you have. I'm not suggesting that there wasn't always a division between the haves vs. the have nots. What I am...

Planning for child with molestor in family...

I agree fully with the others. It may be tough but unfortunately the only person in this world that you can trust fully is yourself. Occasionally my family gets ticked off at me because how particular I am with the children. I just don't let it become an argument by saying I have made my...

Is this form of discipline okay to do?...

I did read the original post and while I agree that there are differences between wall sits and paddling. There are also similarities. They are both physical punishments. Whether you strike a chid or make him cause himself physical pain is a subtle difference IMO. Using exercise is fine for...
