3D Printing Pens Recommendations? Feedback?...

Hi, Has anyone tried a 3D printing pen? How does it become 3D? I am just curious and would like to try it for my kids. Do you have any recommendations? I'm looking at some reviews and looks like CreoPop and 3Doodler are good brands. Referenced - thewiredshopper.com/best-3d-printing-pens - Has anyone tried these?
