Sources says that in 2012 about 23 million C-sections were done globally. Cesarean rate in Turkey is 50.4 per 100 births which is the highest compared to cesarean rate of world countries.

From my point of view the advantages of C-sections are very few like

The surgical birth can be scheduled in advance, making it convenient.
Predictable than a vaginal birth and going through a long labor.

Though the pain in surgery is three folds high than normal delivery, women prefer surgery y so?

That was my biggest fear. I've never had surgery and hopefully never will.
I ended up having a regular birth, but I can't say that it wasn't the most painful thing I've ever felt, physically. But I got an epidural and it helped quite a bit.
I knew someone who did have a C-section and she had trouble with the incision area reopening and infection. She couldn't hold her baby right away, and she couldn't nurse. She had a longer stay in the hospital and she was always throwing up.
