Since the elections are coming up I thought we could discuss our current system. Should majority have the say or should we keep things the way they are?

Then I would LOVE to see it happen...
But it highly doubt it will ever happen.
The power that be would have no interest to change a system that maintains them into power...

Elections should be based on the number of actual votes, otherwise a voting system is completely pointless as first past the post systems work in favour of the minority voter. In our last election the labour party had the most actual votes (by quite a significant amount) but because of the way voting is spread they did not win the election.

We have areas with millions of people which equals one seat, where as we have other areas with about 20,000 of people, which again equals one seat.

If you are pro democracy you need actual vote, if you do not want to live in a democracy then proportional voting is for you.

Mmm, isn't it the other way around?
If you want a true democracy you need a proportional voting, where the choice of each and every citizen counts, as opposed to the current voting system by areas?

Ah, we call proportional voting, voting by winning certain areas.
