Hello! Are you the parent of an 11-14 year old? I am part of a research team at the University of Chicago, and we're trying to find out if a sex education app that we created can help adolescents learn about their health.

Our study involves the adolescent downloading and using a free app for 30 days (about 2 minutes per day of use) and taking a quick survey before and after the 30-day study period. This study is measuring changes in knowledge and attitudes before and after use of the app. We are looking for adolescents who are 11-14 years old, have or expect to have a period in the future (since the app is built with period tracking functionality), and have daily access to a smartphone or tablet. The participant will get a $5 gift card after completing the study.

If you and your child are interested, please complete this quick screening form: https://redcap.link/0kb6ejop. The research team will set up a time to meet with the parent and child to go through the informed consent process and answer any questions you have about the study.

I'll also be here to answer any questions you have. Thank you so much for your help!
