He might also have some options opened for him. No doubt there are those that admire his actions...now who on which side of the argument has a job to offer, that's the tough party of the equation.

As for valedictorian, I suspect it's a tradition on it's way out. There are already schools where everybody with a perfect gpa is a valedictorian. So, a school might have 8, or10 (or 30) of them.... Where's the honor in that?

And once you get beyond high school it's not really worth much anyway
