I know that doesn't seem like big news... but he's 7 and in 2nd grade. He was very interested in it and I was proud that he wanted to move beyond books with pictures in it (even chapter books). He reads a couple pages to me every night and is doing great at it!

Awesome! That's a challenging book for a 7 year old. The books will "grow" with him, but also beware that they get a little spookier as the series goes on. Glad to hear about a little guy into reading.
