What does everyone do for a living?

I've been a private investigator for seven years. I specialize in personal protection but also do process serving, background checks, surveillance, etc...

I also occasionally teach survival skills to climbers, hikers, campers, etc... Unfortunately there's little money and not a lot of clients.

So what brings home the bacon in your home?

I also work closely with the Bank of MOM..
I'm a funds transfer specialist...

I start work soon at bed bath and beyond.
It wont bring home bacon but it'll be a start so I can pay for everything but rent.

Wow, don't tell anybody but I actually like that store. They have a great selection of scented candles (Yankee I believe).

They also have a nice array of bedding and pots/pans.

I'm retired. But I was a Navy pilot, then police officer in VA, then agent at NCIS.

Now I do absolutely nothing except keep my kids from fighting.

Nice. Here's a joke you will like (although you may have seen it already).

P stands for the problem the pilots entered in the log, and S stands for the solution taken by the mechanics.

P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.

P: Test flight OK, except autoland very rough.
S: Autoland not installed on this aircraft.

P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit.

P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on backorder.

P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200-fpm descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.

P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.

P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.

P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what they're there for!

P: IFF inoperative.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.

P: Suspected crack in windscreen.
S: Suspect you're right.

P: Number 3 engine missing. (note: this was for a piston-engined airplane; the pilot meant the engine was not running smoothly)
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.

P: Radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed radar with words.

P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed

Hey FO6, what happened to all the F-14 pilots who flew the F-14 now that it was decommissioned a few years ago? Did they transfer to the Super Hornet?

Couldn't tell ya. Not in that environment anymore. I could probably figure it out though if you really wanted to know.
