I'm a single mom to a 10 month old! I've been living at my dad's house, but I'm thinking of moving. My family is toxic so I know that it's important to move.
I'm just worried that I'm making the wrong choice.
My choices are... Move in with my mom for 9-12 months while I take a coding boot camp. She is toxic, but good with my son. She would watch him for an hour or so and I'd hire a babysitter for a couple of hours a day. Once I got a software engineer job I'd be making decent money and I'd move away from family.
Or...
Move within a month or two. Work as a nanny where I could bring my son with me so I'd have more time with him until he is older. I'd also be away from family sooner which might be good. Concerns... Not making much money. Maybe $15 an hour.
What are your thoughts??
I want time with him and to be away from family, but I don't want to make a choice that is bad for him.
