Question about Mom and perfume....

Does wearing excessive perfume have any effect on babies and crying?

My son has been crying a lot lately and I am just trying to narrow down what it could be. He is 11 weeks old.

I don't think I wore perfume when mine were little. If anything light body spray after the shower and only on my skin, not on my clothes.

At 11 weeks old, it really might have an affect. Try not wearing perfume and see if that helps.

I tried to tell my wife to relax a little on the perfume... but she insists that it is not bad for the baby.

Any tips on how I can tell her to stop without having to sleep on the couch for a week!?!?

tell her it's worth a shot to try...ask her just to try for a couple days and see if that helps. Nobody NEEDS to wear it so she should be OK with trying something that might help the baby be more comfertable
