Quorn: yay or nay?...

Its advertised as a healthier alternative to meat. And it tastes pretty good.
But is it actually good? Is it really healthy?
My cat turns her nose up at any quorn product. You can't really fool a cat, can you?

It's funny you mention that. I had never heard of quorn until a couple weeks ago. Quorn is far better known in your corner of the world.

I wouldn't worry about the cat, my cats turn their nose up for milk, and milk isn't all that bad.

That said, personally I would never substitute. Quorn is still, in a way, a processed product, imo. I'd rather serve a little real meat than quorn.

From the point of view of a vegetarian, I don't buy the fake meats. They just weird me out a bit too much.

I know a few of the kid's friends have parents who buy them if they know they are feeding one of mine, or their friends themselves- my 19yr old's best friend cannot wrap his head around the fact that DS has never had bacon so always buys him fake bacon, despite DS always telling him that it tastes terrible.
According to my 16yr old the nuggets are edible, but not great.
