I will be moving to the Philly area next month. I have a young son who is about to start school. He has developmental delays (lags by about 2-2.5 years in emotional and social development). The area I'm planning to move into is in the catchment of schools in the North Penn or Montgomery school district. I have a few questions around how best to identify schools for him:
1) Are there specific elementary schools with a special education department for kids with developmental delays.
2) Any recommended schools where teachers are particularly compassionate and kind? I see this would go a long way in helping him build a degree of comfort.
