Sensory Processing Disorder...

My 10 yr old boy has Sensory Processing Disorder. Do you any of you have any experience with this?

He also has epilepsy which is under control. We have a really good handle on that but his doctor said that he has Sensory Processing Disorder. I have been researching it and. What i have read just doesn't seem to align with my son's personality.

The main issue is my son's lack of ability to focus on even the simplest tasks. But he is very likely to zone out while watching tv or a bird outside or the dog.

I have read a lot about SPD, because I have wondered if my oldest son might have it to an extent, however I don't really understand how zoning out or an inability to focus really plays into the symptoms associated with SPD. Those would be more of an indicator of maybe ADD. Here is more info on SPD...
