Okay! Just a simple question. Does these super heroes like superman, batman, iron man etc, portrait a good image on our children? Should they actually watch and idolize these characters?

Why shouldn't they? Superheroes are cool. Plus they originate from ancient folk tales.

As someone who's watched super heroes as a kid, I never really viewed them as a role models nor bad things. Just pretend.
But I think there is something to be said about over-thinking and undermining a kid's perception on reality.
TobascoNatalie has a point. It would be an interesting introduction to teach kids mythology.

As the dad, I am my kid's role model.

Superman is a cartoon. If your kid cannot tell the difference btwn a cartoon and a role model or "Idol", you might want to look towards his/her actual role models and see what's wrong.

Bad thing - when kids' make-believe play gets out of hand.
