My son is a little version of me -- and this means he inherited my jawline, my nose, my talkative nature, my cheerful demeanor AND my profound lack of coordination. :)

He expressed interest in football, so we signed him up. He has worked VERY hard (as the sweaty laundry pile can attest) and earned a chance to play this weekend in the team's first scrimmage. He's not starting, and he's not even second string. But his coach values "playing" over "winning" and has said that every child will play, even if only a few downs each.

Jake's so psyched. :)

I have a baseball kid, two actually and my oldest isn't half bad. He tied in the Homerun Derby a couple times. I would like to see him in football though. He's a big kid, built he wants nothing to do with it. Probablt for the best though so I don't have to worry about him breaking an arm or something.
