By far, getting one-on-one time with each of them, without interruptions from the others (or the husband). I seriously spend more time redirecting the rest of the household than on the activity I'm doing with any given child.
Finding a balance between maintaining control and letting go when it came to raising teens. And making sure that both parents are on the same page when it came to parenting. Thinking about it, I think this was the toughest part of parenting. I got so tired of being the enforcer while my husband had more of a Disneyland dad approach. I guess it was because he was working long hours and did not want to deal with the tougher parts of parenting when he came home. But it used to drive me craaaaazy!!!!! Parenting can be one lonely task.
