Why do small children enjoy TV shows about teenagers?...

For example, I see seven year olds walking around wearing Victorious T shirts, and anyone who is actually a teenager doesn't like shows like that

I know my kids like them because they like the idea of being "grown up" and watching TV shows help them imagine it.

My thought on this is that maybe the younger children look up to them as they would a teenager that would be in their lives. They're all just so anxious to grow up. haha
