I have an 10-year old son, and he spends half the time with my wife and I (dad), and half with his mom and step-dad. The last couple of years a lot has happened politically, and he's coming away with very biased opinions due to what he hears at his mom's house. I don't care what his opinions are or care whether he shares ours, but I do want him to come to them on his own and think critically (e.g.,, masks/vaccines, gun laws, etc.) and not simply because mom or step-dad think a certain way.
How do you combat this? I try to lay out the reasoning or arguments for both sides, but he still seems to side with what he hears at the other household due to the fact that they always seem to be bickering about things.
