Yeah that mastercard one is funny here in the UK we have one for Sainsburies Insurance the bit where the mum realigns the picture frame is a regualar thing in our house.

Haha!!! I've never seen that one Cybele, that's too cute and funny!! I can relate too, only it's not pirates it's batman/spiderman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lol. Everywhere we go he's busting moves and fighting bad guys haha.

LOL. Just multiply everything with 8-15 (depending on whether you're talking US$, pound or euro) and that's it. The irony is, even though things seem to cost a lot more here, it doesn't actually, because we also earn "more". (If you've got a white-collar job, that is). Anyway, R120 for lunch isn't cheap, but it won't break the bank either.

Its like about 6 years ago when I was working in advertising before me and Fern set up the business we were sent to India.to go to a conference and their rupees are confusing there are just over 90 in a british pound at least last time I checked. Mind you when my parents went on holiday to Zambia they had similar issues getting to grips with the currency.

Apologies for bumping an old thread but this morning we were talking about how Carlton Draught have really dropped the ball with their ads lately, they used to be so good and I have had the big ad song stuck in my head ever since.

It makes me think about a lady I kind of work with (in that she co-owns one of the venues I very often have set ups in) who moved here from America and she told me once that the one thing that she will never get used to is our television and our general sense of humour (this was in reference to a TV game show we used to have called Talkin Bout Your Generation, but she did mention that "even your ads are weird").

So I bring you the brilliance of Carlton Draught ads from a few years back.
