I was wondering if people could point out to me, about or on average, the monthly cost of living increase when you had your first child, for the first year, to help me better get an idea of what to expect. I discussed this with my sister, who has two young boys, and I found it was a very interesting topic. Would anyone like to share?

well there are all different factors to consider. Do you plan to breastfeed, that's free...or formlua feed, that's going to be about $1300-$1500 for the yr. Diapers...cloth or disposable? This also makes a huge difference in cost of having a baby. Cloth is expensive up from but the you done after that. You can count on disposable costing you any where from $600-$700 a yr plus the cost of wipes. You can save a ton making your own baby food as well, and it's super easy. I hope this helps a little
