Hello all, I'm new to the forum, and have come looking for help after battling for years with my husbands step son! I'm looking forward to being a part of the boards and helping others as they may hopefully help me

In saying this, can someone please explain how I go about posting a thread for help in the step parenting section? I have activated my account but it seems the only place I'm allowed to post at all is here in the introduction section?

Once you make your first post in the introduction section, you should be able to post in the other sections as well.

Maybe it's a timing thing, as currently I still see the following Posting Rules, so aside from responding here or creating further topics in the Introductions section, everything else is denied:

You may not post new threads
You may not post replies
You may not post attachments
You may not edit your posts

You have to make so many replies in other people's threads before you can start one of your own (or that's what it was like when I joined), but if you can't reply to any threads, I'm not sure what you have to do.

No Yunihara, we got rid of the 5 post rule. Now we only require a first post to be made in the Introductions. It must just be taking a little extra time changing your privileges, loststepmum. I'm sorry about that. :/ Unfortunately that's not one of the things that moderators control, it's like a system thing, or at worse if it keeps up I would need to ask an administrator for help. Let me know if it doesn't clear up by later today and I will look into it. Sorry you are experiencing this. :/
