Please explain to me the Rep power, Reputation and green blocks. How do these increase and what does increasing them do for you?

You can give or take rep points by commenting on a users post. Either approve or disapprove I believe. High rep makes you cool. lol. I think of it just as a way to give kudos to the posts that are helpful. People with high rep points usually give good advice. Just in case.... you add/take away from rep but clicking on the ying yang symbol.
