When disaplineing your child you first need to lay down the rules. When creating these rules they should apply specifically to your household and environment but also allow no room for misbehaviour. Once these rules are in place you should talk these through with your children. A good tip for this is asking them weather or not they understand the rules and allow them to sign a sheet with the rules on. Once your children have fully understood the rules explain the punishment that will be carried out if they do not abide by the rules.

I have to say this seems to be some of the most misguided advice I have seen posted in a long time. What exactly are your qualifications for giving advice?

I do believe you have arrived at the correct site. But IMO it is because you are in desperate need of advice yourself.
