Subject: Think She's angry
</SIZE>

</SIZE>
Alan Simpson, the Senator from Wyoming calls senior citizens the </SIZE>
Greediest Generation as he compared "Social Security " to a Milk Cow </SIZE>
with 310 million teats. </SIZE>
Here's a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana ... I </SIZE>
think she is a little ticked off! She also tells it like it is! </SIZE>
</SIZE>
================================================== </SIZE>
</SIZE>
"Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight!!!!! </SIZE>
</SIZE>
1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole </SIZE>
(tit) for FIFTY YEARS. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS </SIZE>
(since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of </SIZE>
other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account </SIZE>
for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and </SIZE>
give OUR money to a bunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus </SIZE>
bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme </SIZE>
that would make Bernie Madoff proud. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and "your </SIZE>
ilk" pulled the proverbial football away </SIZE>
from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved </SIZE>
the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age, 67. NOW, you and </SIZE>
your "shill commission" are proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into </SIZE>
Medicare from Day One, and now "you morons" propose to change the rules </SIZE>
of the game. Why? Because "you idiots" mismanaged other parts of the </SIZE>
economy to such an extent that you need to steal our money from </SIZE>
Medicare to pay the bills. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying </SIZE>
income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes </SIZE>
yet again. Why? Because you "incompetent bastards" spent our money so </SIZE>
profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of </SIZE>
money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to </SIZE>
pay off YOUR debt. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling </SIZE>
"bullshit" to your incompetence. Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few </SIZE>
questions for YOU: </SIZE>
</SIZE>
1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers </SIZE>
during your pathetic 50-year political career? </SIZE>
</SIZE>
2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political </SIZE>
career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits </SIZE>
from the American taxpayers? </SIZE>
</SIZE>
3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health </SIZE>
insurance? </SIZE>
</SIZE>
4.. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are </SIZE>
you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or as </SIZE>
usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies? </SIZE>
</SIZE>
It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators </SIZE>
called Congress who are the "greedy" ones. It is you and your fellow </SIZE>
nutcase thieves who have bankrupted America and stolen the American </SIZE>
dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
And for what? Votes and your job and retirement security at our </SIZE>
expense, you lunk-headed, leech. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the </SIZE>
sole purpose of advancing your pathetic, political careers. You know </SIZE>
it, we know it, and you know that we know it. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch. </SIZE>
NO, I did not stutter. </SIZE>
</SIZE><SIZE size="150">
P.S. And stop calling Social Security benefits "entitlements".
</SIZE>
WHAT AN INSULT!!!! </SIZE>
I have been paying in to the SS system for 52 years "It's my </SIZE>
money"-give it back to me the way the system was designed and stop </SIZE>
patting yourself on the back like you are being generous by doling out </SIZE>
these monthly checks. </SIZE>
</SIZE>
</SIZE>

Well, yeah, I have to agree. By the time chuck and I can retire we'll probably be dead, never seeing a penny of what we have paid into the system.

Uh oh, I'm afraid if I comment on this it will get moved into the debate forum, so I better stay out. Seems like a disproportionate number of active threads are already over there.

Yeah they keep moving the age up and pretty soon you'll have to be like 90 to begin collecting. We worry about that too.

I know AK social security is one of those issues that makes everyone furious. Medicare's the other.

I know right.. My Dad is 63 with failing health and we are taking an active role in his care. I can not begin to tell you the nightmare of looking for insurance that I can afford to get for him.. or the fact that that little check that should be his soon would give him the Independence he needs to not feel like he's taking advantage of us. He sat at the table last month talking about how it would be better for us when he passed away so we wouldn't be saddled. I do not feel that way at all.. but the fact he does and the fact that that little bit of help from an agency he paid into for his whole life could give him some self respect back is being pushed farther and farther away from him makes me IRATE! :mad:
