I remember I enrolled in a summer criminal justice class taught by an USCG Maritime Law enforcement officer for students from Middle School to High School. I remember there was this one girl of middle school age who was only allowed to watch G rated movies. I remember that she wanted to become a supermodel but was thinking of joining a SWAT team. She called African American gangsters a racist word when we were taught about the different kinds of gangs. I also remembered that her father worked in construction.


I think her whole family are Trump supporters right now.


I hope that she as well as her family have been exposed to the masterpieces that are Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars The Force Awakens.

Parents raise and teach their kids what they have been taught and how they have been raised.
It sounds like the girl's parents have been very candid about issues in facing society and she may be getting only one side of the topic.
This would be a great teaching moment to explain to her a different point of view.
